Hali ya kuzingatia rangi ya ngozi, utaifa nk. wa wahamiaji ni kielelezo cha kuonesha wazi uovu uliokubuhu wa Ubepari na namna unavyowazingatia wanadamu.
Wahamiaji waliokwenda Madina walikuwa wamo waarabu, waafrika, maskini na matajiri. Kitu pekee kilichowaunganisha na kuwafunga pamoja ni kushikamana kwao na mfumo mmoja wa Uislamu ambao haukuwagawa wala kuwatofautisha kwa msingi wa rangi za ngozi wala msingi wa kipato cha kiuchumi.
Hali ya ubepari kumzingatia mtu kwa mujibu wa rangi ya ngozi yake na hali yake ya kiuchumi inadhihirisha wazi kwamba fikra za ubepari hazipo kwa kila mtu, bali ni kwa ajili ya watu maalumu wanye daraja ya ‘wenye bahati’.
Uislamu ndio mfumo mbadala wa ubepari, ambao unawazingatia wanadamu wote kuwa sawa, awe mtu rangi yoyote atakayokuwa, na kamwe hauwahesabu wengine kwamba ni “nusu watu” wasiostahiki haki ya kuhifadhiwa na maendeleo.
